Terms of Service
Effective: 1 November 2026
1. These terms, and changes to them
These terms apply between you and us when you use WeatherDuck ("the app").
If they change, we post the new terms and their effective date on this page,
and tell you inside the app 7 days before that date. For a change that
collects more data, or that is otherwise to your disadvantage,
we tell you 30 days before.
If you do not agree to a change, please delete the app.
Deleting it removes everything stored on your device.
2. What the app does
The app is a free app that shows the weather on your lock screen.
- When you wake your phone, it shows the current weather and the forecast on the lock screen
- Opening the app shows the hourly and weekly forecast, and air quality
- A home screen widget shows the weather as well
Weather data comes from the Korea Meteorological Administration and other
weather providers. We do not observe or forecast the weather ourselves.
3. Who we are
| Company | Hans Together Co., Ltd. |
| Address | 21 Jagok-ro 3-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul 06374, Republic of Korea |
| Phone | +82 10-2547-1432 |
| Email | arane.soft@gmail.com |
4. Location
What we receive, and how we handle it
The app receives approximate location only. Those coordinates are
folded into a grid cell of about 1km on the device, and only the folded value
reaches our server. Your exact coordinates never leave the device.
See the Privacy Policy for details.
Why we hold it, and for how long
| Purpose | To show you the weather where you are. We do not use it for anything else |
| Retention | On the device only. A new reading overwrites the old one, and deleting the app removes it. Our server keeps no location record tied to a user |
Records of use and disclosure
We keep no such records. We do not write down who requested what,
when, or from where, and we retain no access log.
Your rights, and those of a legal guardian
You may do any of the following at any time, and we will not refuse.
| Withdraw consent | Android Settings → Apps → WeatherDuck → Permissions, and turn location off. Or delete the app |
| Suspend collection, use and disclosure | Turning location off in the same place stops it immediately |
| Ask to see or be told what we hold | Write to arane.soft@gmail.com |
| Correct something that is wrong | Write to the same address |
A legal guardian may exercise the same rights in the same way.
Children aged 8 or under
The app does not provide a location-tracking service for the protection of a
child and may not be used for that purpose.
5. What we ask of you
- Please do not use the app to break the law
- Please do not damage the app or our server, or call it excessively
- Please do not resell the weather the app shows, or move it into your own
service. Our agreements with the weather providers do not allow it
6. Ads
There is an ad at the bottom of the lock screen. Google selects it, and
Google receives an advertising identifier. See the "Ads" section of the
Privacy Policy for details.
The products and services in those ads are not ours.
We take no part in your dealings with them.
7. Changes to the service, and stopping it
We may change features or stop them. We tell you in advance — except
where we cannot know in advance, such as a server outage or a weather provider
shutting down.
The service is free, so we offer no compensation for an interruption.
8. Limits on our liability
A forecast is a forecast. It can be wrong.
- We do not observe or forecast the weather ourselves; we show you what we receive
- So we do not warrant that a forecast is correct
- We are not responsible for the outcome of a decision you make trusting it.
Where safety is at stake — a typhoon or heavy rain — please follow the official
announcements of the Korea Meteorological Administration
- A manufacturer's battery saver can stop the app, so the lock screen may not
appear and notifications may be late
This section does not excuse harm we cause intentionally or through gross negligence.
9. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea.
If something goes wrong, please write to
arane.soft@gmail.com first.
If talking does not settle it, either of us may bring suit in a court
having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
