How we use location
It is the first thing anyone worries about with a lock screen app, so it goes first.
No precise location
Forecasts are published on a 5 km grid. Precise location would not make them any better, so we ask for the coarse permission only.
No tracking
We use the last location your phone already knows, and ask for a fresh one only when there is none. Following you around would drain the battery first.
No location stored on our servers
Coordinates are folded onto the forecast grid before anything is stored. What remains is a grid cell and a publication time — not where anyone was.
No account
No name, no email, no phone number. There is no sign-up at all.
Those four lines were written against the code, not from memory. What we collect and how long we keep it is in the privacy policy.
What it is
It is a lock screen, not a weather app. The weather is what the lock screen shows.
No app to open
Turn on the screen and it is already there — before you unlock.
Light
A clock, the weather, and two shortcuts you actually use. Nothing stacked on top.
Easy to turn off
One switch in settings. We do not hide it or ask you twice.
You choose the hours
Set the hours it may appear so it stays out of the way while you sleep.
Still being built
Not released yet. If something does not work, tell us at support — when the lock screen does not appear it is almost always the manufacturer's battery saver, and the fix is written up there.
